Bill “Chopper” Pelchat and Friends

On Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. the Betty Strong Encounter Center once again welcomes Bill “Chopper” Pelchat and Friends. Admission is free, but freewill donations encouraged. Pelchat has been performing in the Midwest for over five decades. He was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2021. “Chopper” is a well-respected showman whose band has opened for various acts: The Board of Directors, Bobby Vee, War, The Drifters, and BJ Thomas. He has also performed with Sioux Falls country band, the Huckleberrys and the late Bob Dawdy, the world-famous Velaires.
