A Celebration of the Reed-Niland Corner

We are celebrating the beginning of a new Era for the historic Reed-Niland Corner! As of April 6, 2026, the nonprofit, Reed-Niland Corner, Inc., is the new owner of the Corner, and we want to celebrate with you! We have a day full of events, including the Iowa stop for the Portraits of Hope: America 250 project. This national project is traveling to all 50 states to engage communities in painting a panel for lanterns, which will be assembled at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., in October. Our event will also have a Silly Sally show at 11 am, pie-eating contests for all ages, bingo, and various games and contests. For music, we have 12-time State Fiddle Champion David Bellegante with guitar accompanist, Bill Sturtz. To end the day at 4 pm, the Lincoln Highway band will perform! Did you know that they were inspired by the Reed-Niland Corner? Food specials and tours will be available throughout the day. You won't want to miss this event where the historic Lincoln Highway and Jefferson Highway Heritage Byways meet!
