Locals aren't sure how it happened, but Marion County (or should we say Mary-on County?) has become a go-to spot for some of Iowa's best Bloody Marys. Try them all while also experiencing Knoxville and Pella's attractions and restaurants. Tie it all together by staying at the Cordova Park cabins on Lake Red Rock.
Day 1: Knoxville
1. Slideways Karting Center
Start your experience at Slideways Karting Center where you can enjoy some go-kart racing or mini-putt golf... followed by their version of a classic Bloody Mary.
2. One Eleven Public House
Enjoy an evening dinner at One Eleven Public House, where you will find their version of the Red Rock Bloody Mary. Try their great flatbreads... and don't forget the bread pudding.
3. A & P Pub
After dinner, travel to the east side of Knoxville's square for a Bloody Mary at the hip A & P Pub. You will love the vibe and enjoy a full array of distinctive beverage choices.
Day 2: Pella
1. Butcher's Brewhuis
On day two, enjoy shopping or visiting historic sites in Pella during the day. And at night, have dinner at Butcher's Brewhuis and enjoy a Bloody Mary before dinner on the rooftop bar, weather permitting.
2. The Cellar Peanut Pub
After dinner, walk a block to The Cellar Peanut Pub for a Bloody Mary that has won acclaim at the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival.
3. Nederlanders Tap & Golf
Finish the night in Pella at Nederlanders Tap and Golf where you can have their Bloody Mary and enjoy some simulated golf.
