Unseen//Unheard Album Release Recital

Internationally recognized flutists Rose Bishop and Heather Neuenschwander are excited to present their new album Unseen//Unheard. The first of its kind, this album is being released through Strange Moon Records on Friday, September 26, 2025. Heather and Rose have commissioned ten composers to write duets for a unique combination of instruments: alto flute and bass flute. They have commissioned composers from across the United States, including women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. As passionate low flute performers, they opted for alto flute and bass flute duets because this pairing is relatively unexplored compared to other combinations. ? Unseen//Unheard features an extraordinary collection of pieces by ten visionary composers: Nicole Chamberlain, Timothy Hagen, Leanna Keith, Zachery S Meier, Alyssa Mercedes Mena, Lisa Neher, Arturo Rodriguez, Sonya Leonore Stahl, Julie Stone, and Yoshi Weinberg. Each work brings a unique voice to the world of low flutes, expanding the repertoire in bold and beautiful ways.
