Tinseltown in Water Works Park Mark your calendars, as Northern Holiday LLC will be selling Christmas trees in Water Works Park starting November 20. Join Des Moines dignitaries and special guests for our tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, November 22, at 6 p.m., followed by a month of festive holiday activities in the Park. Get ready for non-stop fun! From crafts to vendors, photos with seasonal A-listers, entertainers, holiday lights, the Tour de Cycle —a nighttime bike ride —and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Activities include taking pictures with Santa Claus and interacting with live reindeer. Entertainment by Top Hat Carolers. Lighted displays by Wright Outdoor Solutions and Hawkeye Entertainment—food and craft vendors, including the Des Moines Biergarten, and more.
