The wilderness can be a beautiful thing. From the stunning landscapes found in nature to the interactions between wildlife, oftentimes these moments go uncaptured, but Thomas D. Mangelsen has dedicated his life to photographing these amazing encounters and one-of-a-kind moments. A Life in the Wild is a retrospective 40 years in the making and can now be seen as a traveling exhibition. Mangelsen has traveled the world and become one of the foremost nature photographers of our day, having been recognized as Conservation Photographer of the Year by Nature’s Best Photography, Outstanding Nature Photographer of the Year by the North American Photography Association, Wildlife Photographer of the Year by the British Broadcasting Corporation, and much more. Some of the photographs visitors can view in brilliant large-format include Polar Dance - which features two polar bears appearing to dance, Mountain Outlaw - which portrays a grizzly bear charging head on through the snow, and Catch of the Day - which captures the exact moment a spawning salmon soars into the waiting jaws of a brown bear. A Life in the Wild is included with general admission. Save when you purchase tickets online. Stop in to the River Museum and enjoy the beauty of nature! A Life in The Wild Tour is produced by David J. Wagner, L.L.C. in partnership with Thomas D. Mangelsen, Inc.
