Bienvenidos A Iowa: Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free Join us on Friday, September 5th, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at Mainframe Studios for a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and creativity. The event will feature the opening of "Bienvenidos a Iowa" a special exhibition curated by Colectivo Luchart showcasing powerful works by immigrant, Latino/a/x, Chicano/a, and Indigenous artists from Iowa and the Midwest. “Bienvenidos” means “welcome,” and this exhibition embraces the spirit of the Statue of Liberty - honoring heritage, celebrating diversity, and recognizing the vital contributions these communities make to our state. The evening will also feature open studios, delicious food and beverages, performances by Danza Folklorica, spoken word, a hands-on art activity by Art is Rad, and lowriders from Lizarde Hydraulics. With expanded overflow parking and a complimentary shuttle service, getting here is a breeze.
