Royal, Iowa, Quasquicentennial (125th) Celebration

Come join the Community of Royal in celebrating our 125th Anniversary with a weekend filled to the brim with fun events for all ages, starting Friday night, July 18, 2025 at 5:30 with a free meal compliments of Home State Bank and a free concert by the William Lawson Bluegrass Band after opening ceremonies under the Big Tent on Third Avenue. Bring your clubs for Around Town Mini Golf and family-friendly games and blow ups at The Great Hall at 5:45. Enjoy a free night of music with Jeremy DeWall Band at Haggy's Bar. Saturday, July 19 will keep you hopping with softball and horse shoe tournaments, Royal Runners 5K, aping pong drop, and parade at 10:30 a.m. The Royal Museum will be serving FREE homemade ice cream and is hoping for tour and a historic gopher hunting lesson and Whack-a-Mole inflatable at 11:30 a.m. Cattlemen, Pork Producers, Concessions and Food Truck Row will keep you fueled up. Stop at the park for FREE kid-friendly events: inflatables, petting zoo and face painting. Car Show begins at noon. 80+Vendor show! Trends and Tunes of Yesterday at 2:30 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church; Fireside Chat and historic vignettes with Royal's historians at 1:30 p.m. at the community center. All School Reunion 5 p.m. at The Great Hall. Johnny Holm Band at 8 p.m. at Haggy's. Sunday is Royal Fire Dept. Breakfast at 8 a.m. Ecumenical Church service in the Royal Park at 9:30 a.m. Cornhole tournament and UTV/ATV Poker Run at Haggy's. NWIA Tractor Pullers near the park.
