Masquerade Ball / Maquoketa Halloween Spooktacular

Monster Makers Fair and Witch's Walk from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Bring the kids out on November 1st and let them use their costume more than once this year. We hao many fun activities planned for them and it is all FREE! Come at 10:00 a.m. to join in and lineup for our sidewalk parade. At 10:00 we will start out with our Witches Walk / Dance and it will be followed by the costume sidewalk parade. We will walk down the sidewalk towards the west to Vermont St. and use the crosswalk and then head back east towards Niagra St. and cross back over and head to the parking lot which will be roped off for us for our Monster Makers Fair. Where vendors will be set up with all sorts of merchandise. We will do the costume contest and announce the winners of the costume contest, luminary contest, pumpkin decorating contest, citywide decorating contest, business decorating contest, and the pet costume contest. Prizes will be awarded, and winners will be announced. We will have music and games as well as crafting, we will offer scratch masks and making witches spoons, wands, tiny pumpkin decorating and painting ghost rocks, bubbles and sidewalk chalk drawing. There is also an opportunity for free yoga lessons at the Maquoketa Public Library as well as button pin making. Many downtown businesses will offer trick or treating and they can also finish up with our Maquoketa Halloween Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt. Then from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. we will be offering Hearse rides at the Eagles club
