Jean-Pierre Lair from Texas , has been fascinated with the first flight of humans in a hot air balloon from his native country , France, which took place in 1783 by the Montgolfier Brothers. He researched it and decided to build a one tenth scale of the actual balloon for a chandelier in his house. It is 6 feet tall, 5 feet wide and weighs 88 lbs. They needed a new home for their masterpiece. So the National Balloon Museum in Indianola is now the new home for the Montgolfier Balloon. Program at 2 p.m.
