Remember the many accomplishments and humanitarian contributions of this great scientist, Simpson alumnus and Indianola resident. Look forward to George Washington Carver-centered tours, presentations, performances and more on campus and around the community. For families, be sure to participate in Indianola Community Day on Feb. 3, 10 to 12 p.m.

Examples of activities include:
COCOA FOR KIDS & PLANT A SEED AT UNCOMMON GROUNDS Grab a cup of cocoa and plant a few seeds to take home.

MAKE A FRESH FLOWER POCKET POSEY AT MASON OUDERKIRK LAW OFFICE Carver always wore a flower in his jacket lapel, you can too!

STORYTIME & SPECIAL EXHIBIT AT CORNER SUNDRY Join us for story times at 10, 10:45 and 11:30 a.m., with songs in between and trunk exhibit from Carver National Birthplace Monument Park.

CIRCLE ‘ROUND THE SQUARE SCAVENGER HUNT AT REGIONS BANK HALLWAY Pick-up the clues and start your treasure hunt.

TASTY CARVER TREAT & PHOTO DISPLAY AT SAVOR THE RISE AND PAGETURNERS Special treat for kids using Carver recipe and photos of downtown Indianola when George Carver was a student. Books available for purchase.
