Fireside Chat at Camp WaNoKi / Flint Knapping

Date: Thursday, September 18, 2025 Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Location: Camp WaNoKi, 2401 WaNoKi Camp Road, Fort Dodge, IA If the art of flintknapping has ever interested you come join us as we explore this ancient human practice. We will try to create stone tools by striking and shaping flint into usable projectile points, blades, or scrappers. Early human societies all practiced making stone tools by understanding striking angels and developing controlled flaking skills.
