Amana Colonies to Host "Celebrate! 170 Years of the Amana Colonies" Featuring the GRAMMY-Nominated Alex Meixner Band

The Amana Colonies are thrilled to announce “Celebrate! 170 Years of the Amana Colonies,” an all-community event on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, commemorating our rich heritage and vibrant future. The celebration will feature a dynamic performance by the GRAMMY-nominated Alex Meixner Band, bringing a unique blend of exhilarating musical styles to this historic community. Join us from near and far to celebrate with friends both old and new! Doors open at 5:00 PM at the Festhalle Barn (4707 220th Trail, Amana), with Cedar Rapid’s famous County Line BBQ serving dinner from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A cash bar will be available. The highlight of the evening will be the performance by the Alex Meixner Band from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We will have kids’ activities from 5PM to 7PM. Ticket Information: Community Ticket BBQ Dinner & Performance: $40 per person (ages 14 and up); $20 for kids under 14. Reserved seating closer to the stage for Community Ticket holders.
