On Sunday, Nov 9, 2025, at 2 p.m., the Betty Strong Encounter Center welcomes the 6th Annual Siouxland Inspirational and Historical Film Festival. Admission is free, but freewill donations encouraged. This exciting festival is hosted by the Siouxland Filmmakers Club. A total of eight short films will be shown. The film fest judges selected movies that are uplifting, positive, and family friendly. The club is proud to announce that two locally produced movies will have their first public screening during the festival. The first premiere will be "Zoey versus AI Microwave," a 10- minute high-tech kitchen comedy, the first short film produced by the Siouxland Filmmakers Club. The second premiere will be the screening of a 5-minute film by another local film group, ZedeFilms. "Dear John" is a post Korean War bittersweet love story. Audience involvement in the festival is a major part of the event. The audience will be asked to vote on their favorite film! After the event, the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions of the filmmakers.
