Stargazing Night Hike

Date: Saturday August 30, 2025 Time: 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Location: Maple Shelter at Little Wall Lake Park, Jewell, IA Join us at the picnic shelter for a night hike as we discuss the night sky over Little Wall Park. We will discuss some popular astronomy phone APPS and free night sky maps will be available. We will explore the universe as we observe stars, constellations, planets, moon craters, and orbiting satellites. Bring your curiosity, binoculars, and a flashlight to the Maple Shelter and join us. We will hike on the trail to north of the solar panels and try to call some barred owls. This program is for all ages of people who are curious about what we can observe on a night hike.
