“Robert Rauschenberg: Currents, 1970" Exhibition Tour
Saturday, September 20, 2025
This exhibition features 17 large-scale prints and a related sound piece from Robert Rauschenberg’s “Currents” series of 1970. Join us in the John Brady Print Gallery for a guided tour of the show. During a tumultuous political moment in the US, the artist conceptualized the “Currents” project as an experience of immersion and overstimulation meant to jar viewers into action. “Currents” refers to current events as much as forces of nature — ocean currents, electrical currents — phenomena that can sweep someone away or jolt them into attention. Public guided tours are offered every Saturday from 1 – 2 p.m. Free; no registration required.
