Loess Hills Prairie Seed Harvest Hitchcock Nature Center 27792 Ski Hill Loop ?Honey Creek, IA 51542 Tuesday, September 16 5:30-7:00 p.m. Meet outside the Loess Hills Lodge. Help hand-harvest prairie seed from remnant Loess Hills prairies to be used for ecological restoration projects in western Iowa. Free and open to the public. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. Event will include rugged terrain, so be prepared to hike on steep ground. Seed harvest may be canceled due to weather, so check back on the day of the event if the weather is iffy.
