Loess Hills Prairie Seed Harvest Five Ridge Prairie State Preserve Meet at the Joy Hollow Entrance. 14092 Butcher Rd. Westfield, IA 51062 Monday, September 15 5:30-7:00 p.m. Help hand-harvest prairie seed from remnant Loess Hills prairies to be used for ecological restoration projects in western Iowa. Free and open to the public. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. Event will include rugged terrain, so be prepared to hike on steep ground. Seed harvest may be canceled due to weather, so check back on the day of the event if the weather is iffy.
