“How Memorial Day Began” with Russ Gifford

Join us at the Betty Strong Encounter Center at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 28 to hear local historian Russ Gifford as he follows the trail of this American tradition that now honors all who have passed. Admission is free with reception to follow. The story of Memorial Day, and how it came to be nationally honored tells an important point about American’s changes by the beginning of the 20th century.
