Willson Brewer Park

Show Contact Information +
In 1932, the family of Wilson Brewer conveyed a nine-acre tract from the Brewer homestead to the City of Webster City in exchange for the promise to forever preserve the land, its buildings and any subsequent additions in the name of the Wilson Brewer Park. The City accepted the Brewer family proposal and has owned and maintained the Park these past 85 years. During this time, 2 cabins, a one-room country schoolhouse, a prairie country church, Hamilton County's first courthouse and the Illinois Central Railroad Depot have been relocated on the Parks premises. Wilson Brewer is open from 1-4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday thru Labor Day. Come and learn see some of the amazing things about the simplicity of life from over 150 years ago.
