Silent Sky

When Henrietta Leavitt begins work at the Harvard Observatory, she isn’t allowed access to a telescope or the opportunity to express her own ideas. As she spends her days charting the stars and her nights measuring the light and distance between stars, she finds that she must also balance her dedication between her scientific pursuits and her family obligations and the possibility of love. Based on the inspiring life of 19th century Henrietta Leavitt, the play highlights how scientific progress and social progress take great sacrifice.
