Iron Pour - Cast Iron Sculpture Making & Demonstration

Naturally when you think of Mother’s Day, you think of an Iron Pour. Craft Mom a one-of-a-kind gift or bring the family to experience this powerful outdoor art-making event. Tamsie Ringler and a team of local and visiting artists melt iron to 2800° and cast sculptures in DuMA’s parking lot. Twenty relief molds will be available for visitors to carve on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 11 am. The Mother’s Day Weekend Iron Pour is a rare chance to see molten iron—and ancient practices—in action. Rain or shine. Open to the public.
