Guttenberg Gallery & Creativity Center

The Guttenberg Gallery supports local artists by exhibiting and selling their work. The Gallery has played host to over 50 area artists and has retail art in multiple genres. Oil paintings, watercolors, alcohol ink, ink wash, drawings and photography are hung on our historic limestone walls for both exhibition and for sale. You'll find art pieces from reclaimed wood in many forms including live Michigan Birch Bark framed in reclaimed wood frames. Glass art including lampwork, mouth-blown glass and kiln-fired glass is featured. Several jewelry artists are part of our gallery - all hand made and one-of-a-kind pieces. Pottery is a large presence in our gallery with many different styles and glazes. The Creativity Center is a community art studio for children and adults. From May through August, the studio is open to summer visitors and tourists as a "paint your own pottery" studio, but with much more. Visitors can make kiln-fired glass pieces with our large selection of glass and molds. We have four large floor pottery wheels that are also available for customers. And, like most studios, we have a large selection of "Paint Your Own" pottery, mosaic forms and glass painting. There is no studio fee. Customers pay for supplies only and our volunteers do the finishing and kiln firing. During both our tourist season and off season, the Center is open by reservation or appointment for private parties, family gatherings, team meetings, corporate groups, classes, and/or other gathering.
