Just 10 short years after vintner John Guinan first began crafting wines, he and his wife Rose were compelled to share their passion for great food, great wine and great conversation with friends and family, neighbors and strangers. Today, the award-winning Santa Maria Vineyard & Winery offers a vast selection of fine wines, crafted in part by grapes grown in their own vineyards less than 10 miles from the Winery in Willey, IA with creative cuisine and a classic, historical venue that sets the perfect stage for a memorable experience. Enjoy a glass or bottle of our award-winning wines while dining at Baratta's Steakhouse. Here, visitors can hang out, sip a glass or share a bottle of our limited production wine from our on-site cellars and enjoy Iowa paired wines with sizzling Iowa beef steaks fresh off the grill! Once the buds break in the Vineyard you'll find us in the vines or bringing us vintners and enophiles together at one of our Regional Farmers Markets in Des Moines, Ames, and Cedar Rapids.!
