Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
Take advantage of the surrounding landscape by canoeing, kayaking and fishing on the Upper Iowa River that flows directly through town or on the nearby trout streams. Stop by the Decorah Fish Hatchery to feed the trout being reared in the raceways or view the famous Decorah Eagles. Enjoy the Trout Run Trail, an 11-mile biking and walking trail, or horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching or cross country skiing in parks like Ice Cave, Phelps, Palisades and VanPeenen with another 25 miles of trails. Check out Dunning's Spring Park to see a spectacular 200-foot waterfall.

Try the craft brews at Pulpit Rock and Toppling Goliath, or find more Iowa flavors at Convergence Ciderworks and Winneshiek Wildberry Winery. To refuel to tomorrow's adventure, enjoy seasonal American fare at Rubaiyat, made-from-scratch dishes at La Rana Bistro, a classic pizza from Mabe's or Asian cuisine at Koreana Japanese Restaurant. Or join the locals at their favorite sports bar, T Bocks Sports Bar & Grill.
