U.S. Naval Air Station Ottumwa, Iowa was a WWII primary flight training base located in Iowa's heartland. This Navy base of the Primary Flight Training command is unique in that it was built from hollow brick tile. Two astronauts, a future president and other notables graced Iowa’s Primary Fight Training Command. Visit this historic building as we begin exhibit setup, take a map and explore this former base! Opening July 8th every Thurs-Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
