In 1956, Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the Federal Aid Highway Act into law. Now 50 years later, more than 46,000 miles of roads make up the interstate Highways System - including roughly 500 miles traversing the state of Iowa.

Many of Iowa's top destinations are located along interstate highway corridors, making it convenient to stop and experience a variety of attractions and events as you travel Iowa.
