Your first stop is Expo Hill, permanent home of the 133-foot wind turbine and MidAmerican Energy Wind Education Center showcasing the state's leadership in renewable energy. The turbine generates enough electric to power all 11 days of the Iowa State Fair!

Meander through Expo Hill's paths that feature solar powered landscape lighting, solar cooled benches and solar powered wi-fi benches. Enjoy a show at the solar powered bandshell.

Wind down as you explore the rest of the Fair's 450 acres. Stop by the Agricultural Building, tour the livestock barns, see the Family Food Center and cool off in the Varied Industries Building. See a show on one of the Fair's five free stages or choose from some of the nation's hottest acts on the Grandstand stage.
