Sweet Things Bakery

Start your morning off with a treat from Sweet Things Bakery in Maquoketa. This small-town bakery has big charm - locals love the bacon and maple donut. But there are sure to be flavors for even the pickiest of family members.

Eden Valley Wildlife Refuge

A short drive to the west along Highway 64 will lead you to the Eden Valley Wildlife Refuge. The park's 201 acres are nestled along the banks of Bear Creek where you can see limestone bluffs and forested hills. Stretch your legs and lungs on the hiking trail which crosses a swinging bridge.

National Motorcycle Museum

Continue west to Anamosa and take in the National Motorcycle Museum. More than 325 rare and vintage motorcycles dating from 1902 are on display, along with thousands of photos, motorcycle memorabilia and toy motorcycles.

Teddy's Barn and Grill

If you're on an afternoon trip, head to the small town of Amber for a great dinner to round out your day. Teddy's Barn and Grill is a three-level 1958 remodeled round-roof barn located between Anamosa and Monticello. They're open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
