The home of the founder of Pella, Dominie Hendrik Pieter Scholte, who immigrated from the Netherlands in 1847 and built the home for his wife Mareah. Visitors will tour 20+ rooms of antique furnishings and personal belongings of the Scholte family. If you are lucky, you may meet one of the Scholte family descendents who participates each year as a docent.
Tours are $5 per adult, $2 per school age child. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Tulip Time and 1 to 4 p.m. the rest of the year.
During Tulip Time, enjoy festivities, parades and the tulips all over Pella.
