A new core exhibit at the Clay County Heritage Center, “This Land We Call Home: Settling Clay County,” will highlight the county’s prehistory and take the visitor through the challenges of the early settlers to establish farms and towns.
An Open House to kick off the opening of the new exhibit will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In addition, Clay County Conservation Director Dan Heissel will be providing a public program at 10:30 a.m. and again at 1:30 p.m. in the Bob Keir Meeting Room. Admission to the exhibit and Dan’s program will be by a free-will donation.
Refreshments will be served.
