Join us for a canoe trip down a central Iowa river. We’ll meet at the Story County Conservation Center at McFarland Park and have a brief orientation before traveling to our launch site. Participants need to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, water shoes (or shoes that can get wet and dirty) and a sack lunch. SCC will provide canoes, paddles, life jackets, and coolers for lunches. The trip is dependent on weather and river levels. Return time is approximate.
No canoe experience is needed to participate. Fee is $40 (per canoe, maximum of three people in each canoe) with pre-registration by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24.
