Join us for the first hike of the series as we hike along a Loess Hills ridge top through scenic prairie to reach our destination- the McIntosh Pioneer Cemetery, founded in 1874. This trail is only accessible with a PCCB staff member and is not considered open to the public. Hitchcock Nature Center 7 p.m.
Hikes are designed to introduce visitors to Hitchcock Nature Center and the Loess Hills. The series will start with a more moderate trail, and we will work our way towards a healthy, invigorating 2.5 mile hike to the most western edge of the preserve at the series' end. Bring your water bottle & join us in the fun!
Cost: $2.00 per person. Weather permitting.
