Algona

Algona is bordered on three sides by the Des Moines River and the wooded hills of Ambrose A. Call State Park. Algona Nativity Scene

Half life-size scene with 60 figures was built by Camp Algona German prisoners of war, held here during World War II. They are constructed of plastered concrete over wooden and wire frames.
