Oak Ridge Campground This campground is nestled under an oak grove with scenic views from the ridge and immediate access to 35 miles of trails, about 20 miles of which are open to equestrians. This is our only modern campground with electric hook-up available. All sites are reservable on-line only. Star Field Campground Located on the edge of a gorgeous woodland and oak savanna, the Star Field campground provides privacy and amazing nighttime views of the sky. We have the darkest skies around and this is the best location for stargazing. Pop your tent and watch the skies! Vans, trucks, and pop-up campers under 20 feet are also allowed. River Campground Situated in the heart of Whiterock Valley, this is a perfect access point for over 40 miles of trails. The campground sits along a bend of the Middle Raccoon River, amid gorgeous sandstone outcroppings and our resident cliff swallow colony. This particular bluff, from which Whiterock derives its name, is the largest vertical outcrop of Cretaceous Dakota Sandstone in the Midwest. Several excellent fishing ponds, trailheads, and a nearby abandoned 1800s log cabin are within hiking distance. 805 River Cabin which is a rustic retreat sitting between a spring-fed pond and the Middle Raccoon River in a beautiful, yet secluded valley teeming with wildlife. Sleeps 5-7. This site is designated as a strictly hike-in, bike-in or horseback ride-in site from the River Campground. It is a one-mile hike.
