Must Do's
Recognized as an Iowa Great Places community, Oskaloosa has something to offer for everyone. Explore the Main Street, which features over 15 pieces of art located throughout. Or, take a walk through history at the Nelson Pioneer Farm & Museum and catch a professional theatric or music performance at the George Daily Auditorium.

Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
Stroll or bike along the community's 15-mile recreation trail to admire native grasslands and unique bridges. For a weekend getaway, book a camping spot at Lake Keomah State Park to hike its trails or load up your kayaks or canoes to enjoy some time on the water. For golfing fun, swing your clubs at one of Mahaska County's three golf courses or enjoy over 50 holes of disc golf.

After working up an appetite, head over to Wood Iron Grille, which boasts one of Iowa's best burgers alongside local craft beers and specialty cocktails. Or discover the flavors of Italy at Rosso and Wine Pronto and award-winning wines at Tassel Ridge Winery.

Community Highlights
Come back for the holiday season, during which 250,000+ LED Christmas lights illuminate the facades of the historical buildings lining Oskaloosa's City Square Park. Stroll through the square with hot cocoa or a coffee from Smokey Row in one hand and shopping bags in the other while enjoying the Painting with Lights Christmas Parade.

Every year on the last Thursday in July, Sweet Corn Serenade welcomes thousands of attendees to enjoy its craft vendors, food trucks live music and, of course, sweet corn. You also won't want to miss Art on the Square, which is one of Iowa's oldest running art festivals and features participants from across the country.
