Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries

The area's beautiful, glacier-carved lakes cover approximately 15,000 acres and include Iowa’s largest natural lake, Spirit Lake. Spring-fed West Lake Okoboji is the centerpiece of the five chain lakes, and the surrounding communities provide the backdrop for Okoboji’s year-round playground with water sports in the summer and cold-weather activities such as snowmobiling, ice-fishing and the University of Okoboji Winter Games. For on-land fun, ride or walk around the lakes on the Iowa Great Lakes Trail or test your skills at the Okoboji Gold Disc Golf Course

Head to the nearby Nautical Bar & Grill and enjoy a selection from their extensive menu.

Community Highlights

Enjoy art and theatre events, family activities, museums, golf, shopping, dining, swimming, fishing, boating,  plus numerous campgrounds, hotels and resorts.
